FIRST BROWNIE RING
1933
This is the first ring ever offered for Brownie Girl Scouts
.  You can find it in the 1933 Catalog, so this ring is over EIGHTY-FIVE YEARS OLD.  It’s in amazingly good condition.  The hallmark is clear and says, “B Sterling.”   It is a little over a size 3, but it split where a previous sizing has come loose.  It would be worth re-sizing if you wanted to wear this, but the real value is to a Collector who would appreciate this wonderful piece of Girl Scout memorabilia.  It cost a whopping $.50 in 1933.  The main differences in this from future Brownie rings are the lack of border and the lack of the background “hand hammered” look.
