Description

Presented is a fabulous antique sterling silver footed bowl or compote. This piece dates to circa 1895-1910. The bowl features beautiful floral decoration in the Art Nouveau style of the time to which it dates, very detailed but still with an organic, stylized feel. The piece is well made, and would be a great addition to any home's décor.
This piece is in great overall condition. There are a couple of minor dings but nothing of any significance in our opinion. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The underside is stamped with the maker's mark for Meriden Brittania Co, a division of International, as well as sterling.
The compote measures about 8 ¼ inches in diameter and stands about 3 7/8 inches tall.
This piece weighs 315 grams or 11.1 regular ounces.
