936 CORONADO TABLE TOP TUBE RADIO ( MODEL 578)

Description

An absolutely stunning 1936 Coronado model 578 table top tube radio featuring a walnut cabinet, bright back lit dial, Marquetry inlays. The American Walnut cabinet has been re-stained.  A large intricate cut grill certainly adds to the Art Deco appeal.  The bright back lit dial is quite the attention getter. It displays the AM broadcast scale in Kilocycles at the top and meters at the bottom.  The dial is illuminated by two dial lamps creating a nice bright glow for easy dim or dark room tuning. All letters and numbers on dial are legible and show very little signs of wear.
Turns on and lights up, but does not seem to work.
