Up for bids is a 1947 Pilot radio model T601 table set in a wood cabinet.
Introduced in the summer of 1946, the Pilot T601 is a 5 tube set covering the FM broadcast band.  This model was designed to operate using a separate external speaker or connect to a phonograph or AM radio.
The set has its original Pilot "steering" knobs.  These are the same knobs used on the iconic Pilot 3 inch TV.  The cabinet appears to have its original finish and has no missing or cracked veneer.  The original plastic dial cover has minor shrinkage around the perimeter.
The set powers up with no issues and the dial lamp is bright.  As it needs to be hooked up to an external speaker, it is untested in that respect.
As with any vintage electronics, it is highly recommended that the chassis be given a good "once-over" by a qualified technician before the set is used.
Dimensions of the 1947 Pilot T601 FM tuner are 7 inches tall, 9 inches wide and 6 inches deep.
