    Description

    This is a 1937 Stromberg-Carlson model 140-L standing wood cabinet radio in fair overall cosmetic condition in working condition in need of some restoration. This antique shortwave/broadband radio appears to be fully functional and I was able to tune in clearly to an AM radio station for quite a while. There is some static in the speaker on occasion so it may need to this speaker may need to be restored or replaced. Station was not as clear at lower volume. Location where I tested this radio was inside of an apartment building so reception was quite limited yet still this radio performed quite well after warming up. Additional restoration needed on this radio will include at a minimum will include knobs for the four dials since they are missing and a new cloth cover as well as possible restoration of the speaker itself. This antique radio is for sale for 5 and is available for local area pick up only in Greenwich, Connecticut at a scheduled time within 2 days of date of sale. Buyer must contact seller within 2 days of date of sale and pick up this radio within 2 days of date of sale or forfeit the right to purchase. Buyer may pay for this radio in cash at time of pick up if buyer prefers.
