    Description

    Presented is a fine sterling silver bowl by Dominick & Haff. This piece is in a very simple and classic shape with an interesting border around the top rim. The border appears to either be conch type shells or a stylized wave or leaf. Whatever they are, they're quite striking. The center of the bowl is monogrammed with a large hand engraved HB in ornate script. Across the center of the monogram is a hand engraved banner incorporated into the design with the year 1890.
    The bowl is hallmarked on the bottom with the Dominick & Haff maker's mark, the year mark for 1889, Sterling, & the mark of the original retailer, Shreve, Crump & Low. The bowl is in good used condition with evidence of minor wear on the bottom, a few small dents or dings and some utensil marks on the inner surfaces. There are no cracks, no breaks, no monogram removals, no repairs, and no problems of any kind.
    The bowl is 8 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall. The bowl weighs 345 grams or 11.1 troy ounces.
